Property Editor

The Property Editor displays the properties of whatever object is selected in the currently active tab or in the Workspace Manager. Select a graph and the editor shows that graph’s name, color, and other attributes; select an axis and it switches to axis properties; and so on.

Most properties can be modified directly in the editor — changes apply immediately to the selected object, with no save/apply step.

The Property Editor dynamically determines the focus data object based on recent user interactions and instantly refreshes to show the most relevant properties of that object. The displayed property set adapts to changes the user initiates.

Properties that affect what’s visible in the document — color, line width, axis range, etc. — update the document in real time as you edit their values in the Property Editor. No round-trip through a separate “apply” button.

A small gallery view at the top of the Property Editor shows icons for every open data widget. Double-click an icon to activate the corresponding widget; the Property Editor switches to its property set automatically.

  • Workspace Manager — primary source of object selection that drives the Property Editor’s contents.
  • Overview Window — visual synopsis of the same focus object.
