deblank

Remove trailing whitespace from a string.

Syntax

s = deblank(str)

Description

Strips trailing whitespace (spaces, tabs, newlines) from str. Leading whitespace is preserved. Applied elementwise to cell arrays of strings.

Example

deblank('  hello   ')    % '  hello'
