edate

Date offset by a number of months.

Syntax

v = edate(start_date, month)

Description

Returns the serial date month months after (or before, if negative) start_date. Day-of-month is preserved when possible; clamped to the end of the month otherwise.

Example

edate(date(2026, 1, 31), 1)    % serial for 2026-02-28 (clamped)
